A Dear John to Dreamweaver

A Dear John to Dreamweaver

Dear Dreamweaver,

We've been together for so very long and been through so much. After a brief stint with GoLive at the dawn of my web development career, you quickly swept me off my feet. Oh, the days and nights we spent together, just you and me (and sometimes Photoshop), so many sites, so many edits, so many lines of code, but I feel we have been growing apart.

I'll be blunt. Dreamweaver, you have gotten a little long in the tooth. You aren't as snappy as you used to be - you've become old and bloated. Sure, we could stick it out, but I would always be looking for something better. I have to admit, my eyes have been wandering for quite some time. You have so much to offer, so many features, but I have outgrown you, and I have found somebody new. Somebody who can better meet my needs. Somebody who possesses all of your good qualities, but also who is tailored for a modern day web developer like myself.

Her name is Coda and I think I am in love (more about her later).

Come on now... no tears. You'll always have a place in my heart, and I'll even try to set you up with some friends. There are lots of people out there that are made just for you, but not me. Not anymore...

Goodbye old friend.
